In this role, you’ll be the lawyer who takes ownership of your matters from start to finish; managing files, guiding junior lawyers, drafting pleadings and evidence (and helping juniors sharpen their skills), shaping strategy, running directions hearings when needed, and briefing and instructing counsel.  In other words, you’ll be driving the work.

You’ll have one partner and 2 Senior Associates to support you and a team of 4 lawyers who will be ready to help you with the work.

You should:

• have solid, hands-on experience with court processes and procedure, particularly in commercial litigation in the NSW Courts and the Federal Court;

• know the rules of evidence inside out;

• understand exactly what we mean when we say “the second limb of Barnes v Addy”;

• have been to more directions hearings and subpoena returns than you can count; and

• be confident working both independently and with junior team members.
