We’re growing — fast — and we’re looking for a Senior Lawyer with a sharp commercial mind and expertise in technology law to join our dynamic team.Our Commercial & Technology team acts for a broad and ever-expanding client base, from high-growth start-ups and scale-ups, through to ASX-listed enterprises and multinational tech giants. The work is diverse, fast-paced, and intellectually engaging, covering everything from day-to-day commercial advisory to cutting-edge issues in software licensing, data protection, cybersecurity, AI, SaaS agreements, fintech, and IP commercialisation.What you’ll be doing:

1. Leading complex IT and commercial transactions, including drafting and negotiating a wide range of tech-focused agreements

2. Advising on privacy law compliance, cybersecurity obligations, and data governance

3. Supporting clients on issues related to AI deployment, open-source software, platform terms, and digital product compliance.

4. Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to practice growth and development.

What we’re looking for:

1. 5+ years PQE, ideally with top-tier private practice experience in commercial or TMT teams; in-house tech sector experience also highly regarded.

2. Strong drafting skills, commercial acumen, and ability to distil complexity into practical advice.

3. Confident managing client relationships and autonomously running files.

4. A genuine interest in technology, innovation, and emerging legal frameworks.

5. Bonus points if you’ve worked with early-stage companies, VCs, or have experience with cross-border tech deals.
